"I'm European, of course I'm romantic"
I really enjoy collecting quotes. And there's this quote that I really like.
"Can you imagine a world without men? No crime and lots of happy fat women." -Nicole Hollander
For some reason, I always think of that quote when I have men/relationship-related problems. It makes me laugh.

October's End
I re-read my old posts and have come to the conclusion that the posts as a collective do not flow. It made me wonder if this was symbolic of how I secretly perceived myself; how maybe this reflects the identity issue I am in denial of. So then I began to think about my most recent human-to-human interactions and realize how I seem to act and be quite different in every situation.
I started to really question who I am, quite conveniently, during the only time it is acceptable for one to pretend they are anyone but themselves.
I realize, to express such "raw" and private thoughts on the internet is pretty much ironic.

ArtPrize 2010
Kevin and I took the bus downtown to check out ArtPrize.

Shoe and Tell
Remember the shoes I mentioned from the last post? Well, I finally have them!
Oddly enough, I have somehow managed to have bought two more pairs within the last month.
Beige oxford-inspired flats with white ribbon laces.
I like that the heels aren't too high or too thin; it's perfect for walking around campus! Plus, I adore the cute exterior stitching. Did I also mention that they were on sale?
Lastly, I bought these sexy, black boots with lace paneling on the sides.
While I was busy taking pictures, I captured and finally noticed a curious kitty peeking in the background. How silly!
If you really wanted to be in my pictures, you should have just said so!
I even bought new tights and a pair of knee-high socks (which I wear slouchy 'cause I like the whole Japanese school girl look :p) to really show off my new 'kicks'. I've been really happy with my shoe purchases although this shoe binge is really not healthy for my wallet.
Ta-da! My new additions to my growing shoe collection!

Now off to the bitter end (my new obsession/favorite coffee place) to pull a most likely all-nighter. 3: Good-bye ghost readers!

Kayzoo is whatever.
So... Kevin, Matthew and I spent the weekend in Kalamazoo to visit our friend Chris. Interestingly, I can't really say we did much. The first night, we went to pizza hut and stopped by a cool cafe to see a local band play a few songs. The next day, we smoked, went to Steak 'n Shake (which to my surprise I really enjoyed) and played video games. We left around 2pm today (technically yesterday) and I bummed around the rest of the day.
I guess I had a nice time.

However, two parking tickets is not nice. Not nice at all.
Chris wasn't sure which side of the road I was supposed to park on so I took the risk of parking on the side everyone else seemed to be parked on. The next day, I saw a little yellow packet with a parking notice inside. Cool. I figured that I would park on the other side the next night since I had chosen the wrong side to park on the first night. Well, I got a second parking notice. Apparently the side you have to park on alternates. Ugh.
Whatever.
That's the mentality I need sometimes. Like when I totally splurged on a pair of shoes earlier today. It's whatever. So what if I should be saving my money for school. I got to have a more laid-back attitude when it comes to things like money. Otherwise, how can I be happy if I'm always worrying about money?
Anyways, these are the shoes I bought today: MIOLA Lace Up Brogues
I think I'm going back to Grand Rapids tomorrow. I'm so excited to go back!

Ice Cream
I have always associated ice cream with summer.

Wet hair, no make-up, and an awful face but enjoying my green tea ice cream none the less.
Shared my vanilla ice cream with Tommy.
Unfortunately, he wasn't too hungry because he was so sleepy from a day of adventuring outdoors.
Goodbye summer.

autumn.

Storm
It's almost as if all my bad luck/unhappiness has led up to this storm. This angry, thrashing storm that destroys everything it possibly can and its tears flood the ground. Coincidentally, this is exactly how I feel inside.

Adventures of Tommy
At the moment, I am slightly amused by the sight of my cat playing alone on my futon. It looks as though he is rolling around with a piece of plastic. How silly!

I know everyone is aware of my love for my cat but how can you not fall in love with him?
It's almost Tommy's birthday! Just around this time a year ago, he was a kitten.
Anyways, I thought I'd provide some fun facts about my cat. Not that anyone reads this. Nor cares about my super adorable meowser.
FIVE FELINE FACTS:

It's almost Tommy's birthday! Just around this time a year ago, he was a kitten.
Anyways, I thought I'd provide some fun facts about my cat. Not that anyone reads this. Nor cares about my super adorable meowser.

- Tommy loves lettuce. He plays with it and eats it. If you have salad laying out on the table, he will jump up and snatch a piece and run away.
- Tommy likes attention! He is a very sociable kitty and will almost always approach you.
- Tommy has a spot on his right shoulder. If you look closely, there is a face on that spot. Yes, it's a smiling face!
- Tommy has a best friend named Binx! Once, Tommy was sleeping and Binx started licking him. It was sort of adorable.
- Finally, Tommy loves to adventure! Lately, my mother has been letting our cats play outside. Tommy loves it! But no matter what, if I call his name, Tommy comes right home.
